Education
Humanitarian emergencies—including conflict, displacement, natural disasters, and health crises—severely disrupt education for thousands of children in North Kivu, leaving them more vulnerable to exploitation, poverty, and negative coping strategies.
CESAR is working to support crisis-affected children by providing access to quality education and psychosocial support, while also building a network of young leaders who contribute to transforming local education systems. Our goal is to ensure that all children, regardless of their circumstances, have the opportunity to learn, thrive, and reach their full potential.
In North Kivu, emergencies such as conflict, displacement, and natural disasters disrupt education and leave children highly vulnerable to risks like child labor, early marriage, recruitment into armed groups, and food and water insecurity.
